# Phase 3: runtime model verification

> Real provider/model capability qualification before application integration.

**Objective:** establish runtime text/extraction, embedding, and Gemini Live capability without making the provider canonical state.

**Accepted evidence:** real model calls over an ephemeral Hostinger container qualified text/extraction, `gemini-embedding-2` at 768 dimensions, and `gemini-3.1-flash-live-preview` Live behavior. Errors and bounded retries were classified explicitly.

**What later phases depended on:** a pinned SDK contract, provider/model/dimension tagging, and the principle that provider state remains replaceable. Account limits were later captured in Phase 5. See `docs/evidence/phase-3/2026-09-08-runtime-model-verification/`.
